Squee! I have received my author copies, and they are glorious! Behold their magnificence!

"I can haz box to play in? Move books pleez!"

I can give away a couple. Heck, I can give away THREE, because it’s a magic number. I can sign ‘em and personalize ‘em and even SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. But this is my first book evah. It’s my baby. I don’t want to give away three signed copies for a simple comment. I want a celebration of nerds or beer, or both! So in the interest of promoting the arts, I want you to create some digital art for me. In return, you will have a chance (or many chances) to win one of three signed, personalized author copies of HOUNDED.

THE RULES: Leave a comment below, but with a link to a work of your own digital art. This digital art must be a NERDSCAPE or a BEERSCAPE. Neither requires artistic talent! I’ll explain them below—we’re still on rules: You get one entry for commenting with a link to a Nerdscape or Beerscape you made. If you do ANOTHER Nerdscape or Beerscape, you get another entry, up to a maximum of five! You also get an entry for Facebooking this contest. You get another entry for Tweeting this contest, and yet one more for blogging about it! I will choose two winners using Random.org, and one winner based purely on Kevin Thinks That Is Balls Rad. This contest is open internationally! My hope here is that we’ll make each other some mighty fun stuff to look at in the comments! Oh, this contest is open until April 30. Just leave your link in your comment, let me know if you facebooked/tweeted/blogged, keep coming back to enjoy everyone’s contributions, and DEFINITELY come back on May 1 to see who won!

OK, what’s a Nerdscape? It’s a digital photo of 1) a book 2) an action figure and 3) junk food. Make a fun little tableau out of it and title it creatively, but please (if you can) run it through Photoshop and make it look like art instead of a photo. Here’s an example that you can click to embiggen:

Who will create the nerdiest Nerdscape? Do you have what it takes? If you don’t, perhaps you’d be more comfortable creating a fine Beerscape. A Beerscape includes (at minimum) beer and food. If you want to include other things like animals, beer bellies, etc. that’s all on you. Please try to keep it somewhat decent. ;) Here’s mine (click to embiggen):

:glare: I don’t have photoshop (if I did that spoof cover would have been loads better. also way to choose the last few days of April when I have 3 exams, 5 assignments and a PROM TO RAISE MONEY FOR–not mine, my sister’s. the universe is against me)
